How is EAA structured?
The EAA members are grouped in 5 Divisions according to the aluminium product forms: Primary, Rolled, Extruded, Recycled (OEA) and Foil (EAFA). Moreover, three Market Groups promote aluminium in the main aluminium markets: Building, Packaging, Automotive and Transport. The Divisions and Market Groups are assisted by four Committees, composed of delegated experts from the Industry.
The four committees addressing specific themes and issues that concerns all the aluminium industry and market groups. These are the following:
| • Coordination and Advisory Committee (CAC) Coordination and Advisory Committee is in charge of policy and communication coordination, which implies internal horizontal and external coordination, issues identification, monitoring and management. • Environment, Health and Safety Committee (EHS) EHS Committee monitors draft EU environmental legislation for the industry, evaluaing possible aluminum relevance and impact and co-ordinates with Coordination Committee for public affairs strategy. • Sustainability Committee Sustainability Committee is aimed at developing a long term policy and strategy on common and priority sustainability issues. It ensures coordination with international organizations (IAI, Eurometaux…) and other Committees. • Data Management Committee (Statistics) The Committee is in charge of gathering information and data from the industry and national associations so as to develop statistics, reporting systems and environmental data collection. | ![]() |
