The market is demanding more and more turnkey solutions. Whether for rail, shipbuilding or defence, truck, bus and trailer, aviation or offshore, the major manufacturers are increasingly purchasing entire assemblies instead of individual profiles. And often they incorporate their suppliers in the engineering phase in an attempt to save costs and achieve a shorter cycle time to market.
Aleris Aluminum Bonn adjusted to this trend at an early stage. Its aluminium profiles are extruded on presses up to 90 MN, welded in-house by highly qualified experts and processed ready for installation on state-of-the-art machining centres. This equipment also enables Aleris to machine a wide range of aluminium plates from its different production facilities to provide customers with semi-finished or finished parts. With the new Fooke Endura – a long-bed CNC machining centre – the company has significantly extended its range, especially for customers from the transportation and defence industries.
Equipped with 5 axes, 20 tools, a travel of 30 metres and an efficient 63 kW spindle, the portal easily processes large profiles and plates up to 30 x 4 meters and assemblies. Furthermore, the machine is designed for shuttle mode, whereby shorter component parts are processed on one side, while the next part can be prepared on the other side, enabling more flexible working methods and optimised working steps.

Une nouvelle approche du service: Produit et Parachèvement “tout en un”
Le marché est de plus en plus demandeur de solutions “clés en main”. Que ce soit pour le rail, la construction navale ou la défense, les véhicules industriels, les autobus et les semi-remorques, l’aéronautique ou l’off-shore, la plupart des constructeurs sont de plus en plus acheteurs d’assemblages plutôt que de simples profilés. Et souvent, ils associent leurs fournisseurs à la phase de conception avec l’espoir d’économiser sur les coûts et de raccourcir le temps d’accès au marché.
Aleris Aluminium à Bonn s’est adapté très tôt à cette évolution. Ses profilés en aluminium sont extrudés sur des presses dont la puissance atteint 90 MN. Ils sont soudés sur place par des soudeurs hautement qualifiés et préparés pour passer dans des centres d’usinage “dernier cri”.
Cet équipement permet aussi à Aleris d’usiner une large gamme de tôles épaisses laminées dans ses usines pour approvisionner ses clients avec des produits semi-finis ou des produits finis. Avec cette nouvelle fraiseuse à portique Fooke Endura – centre d’usinage à commande numérique – la société Aleris a significativement élargi sa gamme, spécialement pour les clients des industries des véhicules industriels et de la défense.
Equipé avec 5 axes, 20 outils, ayant une course de 30 mètres, une puissance efficace de 63 kW à la broche, le portique usine facilement des profilés, des tôles épaisses et des sous structures jusqu’à 30 X 4 mètres.
Pour rendre plus flexible les méthodes de travail et optimiser les chemins d’outils, cette machine a été conçue sur le “mode navette” selon lequel les pièces les plus courtes sont usinées d’un coté, tandis que les autres pièces peuvent être usinées sur l’autre coté de la machine.
Appui technique, conseil, accompagnement au développement dans la construction, usinage et soudage pour aboutir à l’assemblage final, Aleris Bonn est le seul endroit en Europe à offrir simultanément des assemblages et des composants dans un projet de management associé.

Eine neue Dimension von Produktdienstleistung: Engineering und Produkt aus einer Hand
Der Markt fordert immer mehr vorgefertigte Systemlösungen. Ob für den Schienenfahrzeugbau, den Schiffbau oder die Verteidigung, den LKW-, Bus- oder Aufliegerbau oder für die Luftfahrt oder den Offshore- Bereich: Alle großen Endanwender kaufen mehr und mehr vormontierte Systeme als einzelne Profile. Die Aluminiumprofile werden auf Pressen mit bis zu 90 MN hergestellt, im Haus von ausgebildeten Fachkräften geschweißt und anschließend auf modernsten CNC- Maschinen weiterbearbeitet . Dieser Maschinenpark erlaubt es Aleris auch, einen breiten Bereich an Aluminiumblechen aus den unterschiedlichen Fertigungsstandorten zu bearbeiten und damit Kunden halbfertige oder fertige Teile zu liefern. Mit der neuen Fooke Endura – einem Langbett- CNC- Bearbeitungszentrum – hat das Unternehmen sein Fertigungsspektrum, insbesondere für Kunden aus dem Transport- oder Verteidigungsbereich, deutlich erweitert.
Ausgerüstet mit 5 Achsen, 20 Werkzeugen, einer Bearbeitungslänge von 30 Metern und einer leistungsfähigen 63 kW Spindel, kann das Portal große Profile, Bleche und Bauteile bis zu 30 x 4 Metern bearbeiten. Zudem ist die Anlage für einen “Shuttle Mode“ ausgelegt, bei dem kürzere Bauteile auf der einen Seite bearbeitet werden, während das nächste Teil schon auf der anderen Anlagenseite vorbereitet wird, was flexiblere Arbeitsmethoden und optimierte Verarbeitungsschritte ermöglicht.

Una nuova dimensione nella lavorazione dei profilati di alluminio: ingegnerizzazione e prodotto in un unico pacchetto
Il mercato richiede sempre più soluzioni “chiavi in mano”. Sempre più spesso nel settore Ferroviario, come nella cantieristica Navale o nel settore Difesa, nella realizzazione di camion, autobus, rimorchi, parti per componentisca Aerospaziale o piattaforme offshore, i clienti finali tendono a prediligere l’acquisto di semi-assemblati anziché dei singoli profilati. Nel tentativo di ridurre i costi e comprimere il ciclo del time-to-market, spesso gli stessi clienti coinvolgono i loro fornitori nella fase di ingegnerizzazione del prodotto : Aleris Aluminum Bonn si è adeguata per rispondere sin da subito a questa tendenza.
I profilati in alluminio vengono estrusi / prodotti su presse con potenza fino a 90MN, saldati da esperti altamente qualificati e lavorati su due differenti centri di lavorazione tra i più avanzati del settore per divenire prodotti pronti per essere installati.
Queste avanzate attrezzature consentono inoltre ad Aleris di lavorare un’ampia gamma di lamiere di alluminio provenienti dai suoi diversi impianti produttivi, così da fornire ai clienti parti semi-lavorate o addirittura finite. Con il nuovo centro a controllo numerico, con bancale lungo, Fooke Endura, la Aleris di Bonn ha incrementato notevolmente la gamma dei prodotti offerti alla clientela, in particolare nel settore dei trasporti e della difesa.
Dotato di 5 assi, 20 utensili, una corsa di 30 metri ed un efficiente mandrino da 63 KW, questo macchinario è in grado di lavorare agevolmente profilati di grandi dimensioni, lamiere sino a 30metri x 4metri (larghezza) ed assemblati. Inoltre, il CNC è progettato per lavorare in modalità “shuttle”, che permette di processare i componenti più corti da un lato, preparando al contempo il pezzo successivo dall’altro lato, consentendo così modalità di lavoro più flessibili ed ottimizzando le diverse fasi della produzione.
