Sustainable Development Indicators 2010 results

The third edition of the report “Sustainability of the European aluminium industry 2010” covers for the first time also the use of aluminium in key applications in addition to more than thirty (SDIs) on the production phase.

The results of this year’s data show further improvements in many different areas such as emissions, natural resource use, worker safety and training and recycling among others.

The results included in this report prove our industry’s overall positive performance and will serve as a basis for a sound and comprehensive dialogue with policy-makers – both at EU and national level – key stakeholders and the civil society.

Sustainable Development Indicators 2006 results

On 22 November, the European Aluminium Association launched its second Sustainable Development Indicator Report in presence of representatives from the World Business Council for Sustainable Development and of United Nations Environment Programme.

This report shows significant improvements in various areas and provides a strong base for our industry to review its progress.
