Reinforced aluminium side boards for Onnicar tippers
Founded in 1969 with the name of C.F.M., the brand ONNICAR appeared in 1979 and is specialized in aluminium equipments for commercial vehicles.
Onnicar has recently collaborated with Metra Spa in the development of 6xxx series aluminium profiles for fixed platform and three-side tipper for light commercial vehicles with GVW up to 7 tons. In particular, the side boards profiles have been reinforced (as one can notice from the right hand side of the below figure) to withstand higher loads.

New research projects are on the way: Onnicar hopes to capitalize as soon as possible on the results of a synergy with the Polytechnic University of Turin, in which aerospace alloys are being studied to explore their potential applications in commercial vehicles and to verify their corrosion resistance.

Fondée en 1960 sous le nom de C.F.M., la marque ONNICAR est déposée en 1979 et est spécialisée sur les équipements pour les véhicules industriels.
Onnicar a récemment collaboré avec Metra Spa dans le développement de profils en alliages d’aluminium de la famille 6000 pour les ridelles des plateaux fixes et des bennes basculantes à trois voies pour des véhicules industriels jusqu’à 7 tonnes de PTAC. En particulier, les profilés des ridelles latérales ont été renforcés pour supporter des charges plus lourdes (visible sur le coté droit de la figure ci-dessous).

De nouveaux projets de recherche sont en cours: Onnicar espère valoriser aussi tôt que possible les résultats de sa collaboration avec l’Université Polytechnique de Turin. Ces projets portent sur l’application d’alliages aéronautiques aux véhicules industriels et sur leur tenue à la corrosion

Gegründet 1969 unter dem Namen C.F.M, wurde die Marke ONNICAR 1979 als Spezialist für Aluminiumbauteile in Nutzfahrzeugen etabliert.
Onnicar hat erst kürzlich mit Metra Spa in der Entwicklung von Strangpressprofilen aus 6xxx- Legierungen für Fahrzeuge mit fester Plattform oder 3- Seiten- Kipper mit einem zulässigen Gesamtgewicht von bis zu 7 to zusammengearbeitet. Die Aufgabe bestand darin, die Seitenwandprofile so zu verstärken (siehe hierzu die rechte Seite im Bild unten), dass sie höheren Belastungen standhalten.

Weitere Forschungsprojekte wurden gestartet: Onnicar hofft, zukünftig Ergebnisse aus der Zusammenarbeit mit der Polytechnischen Universität in Turin bezüglich des möglichen Einsatzes von Luftfahrtlegierungen in Nutzfahrzeugen und deren Korrosionsbeständigkeit in ansppruchsvolle Produkte umzusetzen.

Fondato nel 1969 con il nome di C.F.M., il marchio ONNICAR è comparso nel 1979 ed è specializzato in equipaggiamenti in alluminio per veicoli commerciali.
Onnicar ha collaborato recentemente con Metra Spa per lo sviluppo di profili serie 6xxx per piattaforme fisse e ribaltabili su tre lati per veicoli commerciali leggeri con PTMA fino a 7 tonnellate. In particolare, i profili assiali laterali sono stati rinforzati (come si può notare dal lato destro della figura qui sotto) per sopportare carichi maggiori.

Nuovi progetti di ricerca sono in cantiere: Onnicar spera di capitalizzare al più presto i risultati di una sinergia con il Politecnico di Torino in cui vengono studiate le leghe aerospaziali per esplorare le loro potenziali applicazioni nei veicoli commerciali e verificare la loro resistenza alla corrosione.
