Production of wrought aluminium (rolling, extrusions and wirerod) has increased from 7.1 million tonnes in 2000 to 8.7 mil tonnes in 2007, before dropping to 6.6 during the crisis in 2009. Since then, the wrought aluminium production in Europe has recovered in 2010 by around 19% and remained stable in 2011.
