EAA supports the exchange and dissemination of ideas and best practices within the aluminium industry. You will find under this section process-related safety solutions which have already been tried and successfully put into practice at plant level, and can therefore be taken up in other plants as well.

Aluminium producing and processing companies show clear commitment to the welfare of their workers. Whether by involving external expertise or by harnessing the latest information and communication technologies effectively, they do their best to improve the work conditions of their employees. EAA organises every two years a Safety workshop in Brussels. The objective of these workshops is to exchange information and gather knowledge about best practices and innovative solutions in order to improve the safety performance within the industry and foster the development of networks among experts in Europe. In this context a Safety Solutions competition, for which member companies were encouraged to present innovative safety measures implemented at plants level, is organised. The entries are discussed at the Safety workshop and participants can vote for the best project. |
This initiative enjoyed a great support in 2013 and 39 entries were collected for this year’s competition. The next safety workshop is planned for 2015.
